Day 2: Oslo - Flam Railway - Sognefjord cruise - Balestrand

Enjoy great train journeys - the scenic Bergensbanen mountain train line
across the Hardangervidda National Park and the
famous Flam Railway, taking you through the spectacular Flam valley with
waterfalls, rivers and mountain peaks from the Myrdal mountain station down
to the Sognefjord. In Flam you board the express steamer for a scenic fjord
cruise to Balestrand.
Spend
2 nights in
Balestrand at the Kvikne's Hotel.

described above, the 4* Kvikne's hotel, room w. fjord view in the historic wooden wing. Breakfast

Day 3: Fjaerlandsfjord & glacier
excursion
Fjord cruise on the scenic Fjaerlandsfjord branch, with connecting bus to
the Boyabreen glacier, a branch of the main Jostedal glacier, and a visit to the interesting
Glacier Museum in Fjaerland

Day 4: Balestrand - Sognefjord - Bergen
Express steamer cruise on the Sognefjord and along the scenic coast line
to Bergen.

Day 5: Bergen City Sightseeing & evening
Cruise departure
Late morning 3 hour guided city sightseeing by coach, including the home of
the composer Edvard Grieg and the Fantoft Stave Church.
Afternoon transfer bus from your hotel to
the ship, with cruise departure at 8PM. 6
nights on board.

Day 6: Cruise Alesund & Geirangerfjord
Morning arrival to the Art Noveau town of Alesund before you enjoy the scenic cruise on the Geirangerfjord,
now a UNESCO heritage site, with the famous "7 sisters"
waterfalls.

Trollstigen excursion*
Join the spectacular land
excursion from Geiranger* across the dramatic Trollstigen canyon road -
"The Golden Route" -

above *In May Geiranger-Alesund excursion, as the Trollstigen road is
closed due to snow
Day 7: Cruise - Trondheim
Main port will be the historic city of Trondheim, with its
picturesque quarters of tiny, old wooden houses.
Spend 3 1/2 hours at leisure in the city, or take
an optional sightseeing tour.
Additional ports: Rorvik.

Day 8: Cruise - Arctic Circle - Lofoten
The ship will cross the Arctic circle before it heads towards Bodo. Enjoy a couple of hours in the city before the ship
sails across the Vestfjord to the beautiful Lofoten Islands and then to
the very narrow Trollfjord.

Day 9: Cruise - Tromso
From the Vesteralen islands into a magnificent archipelago to the north, then on to the university town of Tromso, also known as the 'Paris of the
North'.
3 1/2 hours at leisure in the
city.

Day 10: Cruise Hammerfest
Early morning call at Hammerfest, the world's northernmost town, then
Havoysund & Honningsvag, where you join the exotic North Cape land
excursion.

After the North Cape excursion the ship cruises along Finnmark's barren coast, passing the Svaerholdtklubben Bird Colony and
the unbelievable rock formation of Finnkjerkja.

Day 11: Cruise finish in Kirkenes - Oslo
Cruise along the barren Finnmark coast to
the Arctic town of Kirkenes, close to the Russian Border.
