DAY 1 – First night in Oslo

Individual arrival to Oslo, the city of the Nobel Peace Prize. Check in at a centrally located hotel. Optional: overnight at an airport hotel at Oslo/Gardermoen Airport.
Oslo is beautifully located by the Oslo fjord, surrounded by hills and vast areas of woodlands; popular recreational areas with walking trails.

DAY 2 – Tromso

A 2 hour flight to the Arctic town of Tromso, beautifully located, surrounded by islands & mountain peaks. Tromso is the world’s northernmost University town.
Individual arrival to a centrally located hotel.
You can take the scheduled airport bus directly to the hotel.

Arctic gourmet dinner

In the evening we have included dinner at Emma’s famous, tiny gourmet restaurant in the centre of Tromso, where you will enjoy her 5-course gourmet dinner based on excellent local produce. Welcome drink included.

DAY 3 – Tromso

Full day to explore the town on your own; take the cable car to Mount Storsteinen and admire the view of the city and its surroundings, visit the Arctic Cathedral, the Polaria Activity Centre and Aquarium, the Polar Museum.

DAY 4 – Travel to Bergen

Flight to Bergen, normally via Oslo. You can take the airport bus to the centre of Bergen, alternatively a 25-min taxi drive.
Individual arrival at a centrally located hotel.
Enjoy the evening at leisure.

DAY 5 – Full day in Bergen

Enjoy a full day to explore the sights of Bergen, the picturesque, Hanseatic town, surrounded by 7 mountains, fjords & islands. See the old Bryggen wharf (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the Fish Market, the Funicular to Mount Floyen & the Aquarium.
You can also join the hop-on hop-off city sightseeing, and a trip by cable car to the top of Mount Ulriken, offering a breathtaking view of the surroundings.

3 hour fjord cruise to Mostraumen strait
This spectacular tour from Bergen takes you up the 27-km long Osterfjord in Hordaland province. Underway, the fjord narrows between the steep mountains as you are brought safely through the strong currents of the shallow and narrow Mostraumen strait.

Just outside the city of Bergen, you will find Cornelius, one of Norway’s best seafood restaurants. It is situated right by the sea on a small island with spectacular views of the fjord, mountains, skerries, and passing boats and ships.

DAY 6 – Fjord cruise & Balestrand

Morning departure by express boat, cruising along the scenic coast north of Bergen, passing through narrow straits, islands, summer houses and tiny villages.
Then into the majestic Sognefjord, cruising on the fjord to the scenic fjord village of Balestrand. Overnight at the historic Kviknes Hotel in room with fjord view, and dinner included.

DAY 7 – Travel to Oslo

Fjord cruise & Flam Railway

Enjoy a beautiful fjord cruise to the inner branch of the Sognefjord; the Aurlandsfjord, and the fjord village of Flam. Disembark before a short walk to the tiny train station.
Board the famous Flam Railway for an unforgettable journey from fjord to mountain – taking you through the scenic Flam Valley, with the beautiful river, cascading waterfalls, mountain peaks and tiny farms.

Bergen Line & Oslo

At the Myrdal mountain station you board the main Bergen Line. After a short journey you arrive to the Finse station; the highest point of the line at an altitude of 1222 m above sea level.
Then continuing across the spectacular Hardangervidda mountain plateau & through the scenic Hallingdal valley to Oslo.
