6 nights Northern Lights Cruise package starting with overnight in
Oslo, then flight to the Arctic town of Tromso, with overnight stay. In the
evening you will be picked up for an adventurous Northern Lights trip with Dog
sledding.
The next day you embark one of the authentic
Hurtigruten
ships for a 2 nights Northern Lights cruise including the exotic North Cape
excursion. Disembark in Kirkenes, where you will be picked up for the Snow
mobile safari, then transfer & overnight at the unforgettable Kirkenes Snow
hotel, with dinner in their Gabba restaurant. The tour finishes with
overnight in Oslo. Individual/unescorted tour
Day 1 - Overnight in Oslo
Check in at the Park Inn hotel at Gardermoen, conveniently
located within walking distance of the airport. The centre
of Oslo is located 20 mins from the airport with the
frequent Airport Express train

Day 2 - Oslo - Tromso
Flight from Oslo to Tromso (2 hours). Individual arrival to a
centrally located hotel. You can take the airport bus or a taxi.
In the evening you will be picked up in the centre of Tromso for an adventurous Northern Lights
trip with dog sledding and a warm meal in a lavvo (Sami tent)
Day 3- Tromso
Cruise Departure
Time to see Tromso before you board the Hurtigruten
ship in the early evening for a 2 nights Northern Lights - Aurora cruise to Kirkenes.
Standard outside cabin.
Day 4 - Cruise & North Cape excursion
Main port Honningsvag, where you will join the exotic North Cape
land excursion before the ship continues along the Arctic coast of Finnmark towards
Kirkenes.
Day 5 - Snowmobile Safari & Ice Hotel
Morning arrival to Kirkenes, with breakfast onboard. You will then
be picked up at the pier for the
Snow mobile Safari
on a frozen fjord surrounded by Arctic scenery.
Coffee/tea and dried reindeer meat in a well-heated lavvo, the Sami equivalent
of a tipi. warm winter clothes and instructions in snowmobiling safety.
Remember to bring your driver’s license if you want to drive.
Overnight at the Snow Hotel
Enjoy an unforgettable dinner & overnight stay in the exotic
Snow hotel in Kirkenes - a beautiful piece of architecture with ice
sculptures, surrounded by live reindeers, as the Snow hotel is situated in the
Reindeer Safari Park.
You can also take part in the feeding of the reindeers.
Transfer from Kirkenes, 3 course dinner in the exotic Gabba restaurant, overnight in warm sleeping bags, sauna in the
morning & breakfast.

Day 6 - Flight Kirkenes - Oslo
Breakfast in the Snow Hotel and transfer to Kirkenes.
Flight from Kirkenes to Oslo. You can take the scheduled
airport bus or a taxi to the airport. Spend 1 night in the centre of Oslo or at an airport hotel
at your choice

Aurora Borealis - the amazing Northern Lights
The Northern Lights; nature's own light show, are solar winds that meet the atmosphere in a zone around the magnetic North Pole, forming arches, waves and curls of light moving across the sky, with sudden rays of light shooting down from space.
The Northern Lights activity takes place all year in all types of weather. However, to actually see the lights, the weather has to be dark and clear (no guarantee!). In Tromso it is dark between August and April, with the main Northern Lights season from November to April. The Northern Lights are visible from the afternoon until the middle of the night.
