You'll experience the country the way locals insist is best: by train through the mountains, then by ship along the coast. Starting from Oslo, travel the Bergen Line across Hardangervidda's high plateau to Bergen, then descend the legendary Flåm Railway through hand-carved tunnels to fjord level. Cruise the mighty Sognefjord before boarding your coastal ship in Bergen for a multi-day voyage north. The route takes you past historic fishing villages, across the Arctic Circle, and into Lofoten's jagged archipelago where mountains rise straight from the sea. You'll witness landscapes that shift from southern fjords to Arctic tundra, with opportunities to explore coastal towns that have depended on the sea for centuries. This Norway train and cruise combination includes all connections, accommodations, and meals aboard ship. The route is fixed, the experiences are curated, and the planning is handled—you just show up and watch one of the world's most dramatic coastlines unfold from the deck. Book your journey early to guarantee your preferred travel dates. Book now Fishing is one of the activities you can join in on your days in Lofoten.
