Whether you're landing at Bergen Airport Flesland, Oslo Airport Gardermoen, Tromsø Airport, or Kirkenes Airport, you'll find a range of transportation options to suit your preferences and schedule. Oslo Airport Gardermoen Most travelers visiting Norway arrive at Oslo Airport Gardermoen. The international airport is located 50 km (31 mi.) from the city center of Oslo. To get from Oslo airport to the city center you can choose from several modes of transport. Flytoget - Airport express train The fastest way of traveling from Oslo Airport to the city center is by taking Flytoget airport express train. The express train departs every ten minutes and the journey to Oslo Central Station is completed in only 19 minutes. To find the Airport express terminal, turn right when you have walked through customs, and you should see the Flytoget signs very soon. You can buy adult tickets easily by just swiping your payment card when entering the Flytoget terminal. Tickets are also available online, by downloading the Flytoget App or by using the ticket machines in the arrivals hall. Vy - Public train If you want to save a few kroner, the public trains operated by Vy are a good option. The public trains have 2-3 departures per hour, and the journey to the city center from the airport takes about 25 minutes. Tickets can be purchased online, by downloading the Vy App or by using the ticket machines at the train station. Flybussen - Airport express bus The journey from Oslo Airport to Oslo Bus Terminal takes roughly 50 minutes with the airport express bus. Flybussen has many stops on its route in the center of Oslo, so the bus can be a good alternative that takes you close to your hotel. Don't hesitate to ask the driver which stop is closest to your end destination. You can buy tickets on board the bus and online. Taxi A trip by taxi from Oslo Airport to the city center takes about 40 minutes. The price will vary depending on the time of day and the number of people in the travel party. Note that taxi drivers in Norway are obligated to offer you a fixed fare before you start your journey. You can get help finding a taxi at the taxi information counter in the arrivals hall. The most affordable option is to travel with the Bybanen - Bergen light rail. The light rail departs every 5-10 minutes during the day and every 20 minutes in the evening, and it takes you from the arrival terminal to the city center in 45 minutes. Tickets can be bought in the app Skyss Billett, in the Skyss online store, or by using the ticket machine at the terminal. Flybussen - Airport express bus If you want a faster and direct transport to the city center, Flybussen (the Airport express bus) might be a better alternative. The ride from the airport to the city center takes 25 minutes. The bus departs every 15 minutes during the day, and every hour in the evening. You will be within walking distance of most hotels, as the bus has several stops in the city center. You can buy tickets cheapest online, but it is also possible to buy them on board the bus. Taxi If you want to be driven from door to door, perhaps a taxi is your preferred option. The taxis are located outside the arrival terminal of the airport, and are easy to spot. The ride between the airport and the center by taxi is estimated to take 20 minutes, and usually costs around NOK 500.
