Our customers get access to an emergency number operated by Fjord Travel Norway. Call us for assistance if you are stuck or need help during your trip. The phone is staffed 15:30-21:00 Mon-Fri and 08:00-21:00 Sat, Sun and Public Holidays. We can only respond to inquiries related to the tours we deliver.
No, taxi transportation from the hotel to the excursion or the next part of your journey is generally not included in the package, unless specifically stated in your itinerary.

No, there are no representatives from Fjord Travel Norway at the hotels. We only use hotels that we vouch for and know deliver quality.

For the best time for winter activities, we recommend traveling from mid-November to the end of March. The summer in Norway is beautiful and best enjoyed from May to the end of September.

As of the latest update, Norway has lifted the travel restrictions that were imposed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Visitors are no longer required to undergo testing, quarantine, or registration upon arrival. Travelers are encouraged to consult the Norwegian government's website for any future updates regarding testing, isolation, and guidance.

Unfortunately, it's not possible to reserve a tour. Our tours must be booked and paid for on our website. If you want to be added to an information list for a tour that is not open, please contact us via email, and we'll arrange it.
We create ready-made packages with transport, accommodation and experiences. During check-out, you can adapt to varying degrees which excursions you want.
To find prices, you need to go to the tour you want, select the desired travel date, and the price will be displayed. If you wish, you can modify the products by adding additional items, which will also change the total price.
We accept payments through Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. Additionally, we offer a flexible deposit option where you can pay 20% of the total amount upfront. The remaining balance is due either 45 or 65 days before your departure, depending on the specifics of your booking.

Bodø Airport (BOO) has an exceptionally convenient location, being just about 2 kilometers (approximately 1.2 miles) away from Bodø city center.
Given the short distance, walking from the airport to the city center is a viable option for those with light luggage. Taxi and local buses are available, providing a quick connection between the airport and various parts of the city center.
Ålesund Airport, Vigra (AES), is situated on the island of Vigra, approximately 18 kilometers (about 11 miles) northeast of Ålesund city center.
Airport express buses and taxi are available for transport to the city center.
Kirkenes Airport, Høybuktmoen (KKN), is located just about 13 kilometers (approximately 9 miles) from Kirkenes city center.
The journey from the airport to the heart of Kirkenes can be covered by taxi and bus service. The schedule of the airport express bus is mainly adapted to flights to and from Oslo.
Tromsø Airport, Langnes (TOS), is remarkably close to Tromsø city center, making it one of the most conveniently located airports in Norway. The airport is located approximately 5 kilometers (just over 3 miles) from Tromsø city center.
The journey from the airport to the heart of Tromsø can be covered by various modes of transportation. Airport Shuttle and taxi are convenient options given the close proximity of the airport to the city center.
Bergen Airport, Flesland (BGO), is located about 18 kilometers (11 miles) from Bergen city center.
The journey from the airport to the heart of Bergen can be covered by various modes of transportation. The most efficient and economical way is by the Bergen Light Rail (Bybanen). Airport express bus or taxi service typically takes around 25 to 35 minutes.
Oslo Airport (OSL), also known as Gardermoen Airport, is located approximately 50 kilometers (about 31 miles) from Oslo's city center.
The journey from the airport to the heart of Oslo can be covered by various modes of transportation. The Airport Express Train (Flytoget) and local train offers the quickest option. Several bus and taxi services also operate between Oslo Airport and the city center.

If cruise is part of your tour
The ships are generally non-smoking, smoking is only allowed in designated areas on deck. Ask at the reception desk.
Please note that on certain parts of the voyage, the Wi-Fi signal may be limited due to the remote locations in which the ships sail.
There is no formal dress code on board. Make sure to bring a warm sweater, and a wind- and waterproof jacket preferably with a hood, as it can be quite windy on deck, and trousers.
Hurtigruten - All the meals will be served in the dining room and is included in the cruise voucher (excl. drinks): buffet breakfast, buffet lunch and 3-course dinner.
Havila Voyages - All the meals will be served at your table in the main restaurant and is included into the cruise voucher (excl. drinks): breakfast, lunch and 3-course dinner.
All major credit cards are accepted on board. At Hurtigruten you can register for a cruise card when checking in, which you can use for the entire trip. The final bill will be charged at check out.
Yes, if the ship is in port for 30 minutes or more, we would recommend you to disembark.
This is possible for an additional charge if there is available capacity.
We usually book an outside cabin with 2 separate beds/ double bed, private facilities, towel, soap and hairdryer.
The terminal opens at 11:00 hrs. The Bergen terminal is open for luggage check-in from 13:00 to 14:30, passenger check-in begins at 15:00, and boarding starts at 16:00. Check-in at the terminal is possible until 19:30 throughout the year. After this time, you must check in on board. Cabins are available from 18:00. Plan your arrival accordingly to allow enough time for check-in and boarding.
Ask the hotel if they can store it for you. There are also a limited number of luggage lockers at the cruise terminal that can be paid for by credit card.
The Hurtigruten pier or Havila Voyages pier is located a short taxi ride from your hotel. Alternatively, there is a bus transfer to the port in Bergen from some city centre hotels.

Even if parts of the train route are replaced by a bus, you'll still travel through many beautiful natural areas.
It's not possible to choose the departure times of the trains. We select the departure that best suits the trip.
Most long-distance trains have a café car with snacks and coffee from vending machines. This is not available on local trains.
As we don't have the option to choose specific seats on the train, what side you will be placed on varies. There is beautiful scenery to see from both sides of the train.
Myrdal is a small station. You can easily see where to go and don't need to worry about the short transfer time.

It's important to note that in large cities, cash is not always accepted, and card payments are preferred. However, having some Norwegian Kroner is advisable for small purchases or in smaller towns and rural areas where card payments might not be as common.
