Welcome to Oslo
Oslo, Norway's capital, is a captivating mix of urban sophistication and natural beauty. Home to over 700,000 people, it’s not only the country's largest city but also its political, economic, and cultural heart.
What makes Oslo truly special, though, is its unique blend of traditions and influences—a true melting pot of people and cultures. This vibrant diversity means there’s always something new to explore, from world-class dining and cutting-edge art to unique cultural experiences.
Nestled at the head of the Oslofjord and surrounded by forested hills, Oslo offers an incredible variety of outdoor adventures just a stone's throw from the city center. Whether it’s hiking, kayaking, or skiing, nature is never far away.
At the same time, getting around to discover the city’s many attractions couldn’t be easier. Thanks to an efficient public transport network of buses, trams, ferries, and a metro, exploring everything Oslo has to offer is both convenient and enjoyable.
Discover the capital
Oslo’s city center is compact and easy to navigate, offering a harmonious mix of historic charm, modern design, and cultural vibrancy. The redeveloped waterfront, with its sleek buildings and bustling atmosphere, has become a centerpiece of the city’s transformation. Among the must-visit landmarks is the Vigeland Sculpture Park, the world’s largest sculpture park by a single artist, showcasing over 200 captivating works in bronze, granite, and wrought iron by Gustav Vigeland.
Equally iconic is the Oslo Opera House, a stunning piece of architecture that appears to rise directly from the fjord. Visitors can even walk on its marble roof for breathtaking views of the city and beyond.
