Dog sledding Tromso by Lyngsfjord Adventure

Dog sledding in the Tromso area

The excursion bus will pick you up in the centre of Tromso for a trip to the Tamok Valley. Due to the geographical location the climate is drier and colder than in Tromso, thus offering a maximum chance of seeing the amazing Northern Lights. The bus excursion takes approx. 90 mins, thus allowing you to spot the amazing Northern Lights en route, as you move out of the city lights of Tromso.

Amazing Northern Lights

WHERE DO THE MAGIC NORTHERN LIGHTS COME FROM?

The Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights, are an ethereal display of coloured lights shimmering across the night sky. What causes them?
Dr Dònal Hill from University of Oxford explains us all about these magic lights occurring on the northern skies.

What our customers say:

  • Thank you for assisting us with our trip to Norway. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Kirkenes and the Snow Hotel. The arrangements you made for us were perfect. The lodging was comfortable and the excursions were fun. Tom and I rarely use the services of a travel company when we travel; you enriched our trip and made the planning easy.

  • We just recently completed the Tromso, Northern Lights & Arctic Coast tour. I am writing to say what an amazing tour we had. Everything ran smoothly without an issue, the accommodation was fantastic and the tours were brilliant. We cannot fault the package at all. I would also like to thank Franziska and Lene, they both were fantastic in answering all my questions promptly, whilst booking the tour. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable holiday!

  • I wanted to thank everybody. We had a wonderful trip. Everything went well and fortunately we had the chance to see the lights while on the cruise. All my friends in Turkey would like to go on a similar trip. So I will be in touch with you. Thanks again and best wishes to all of you.
