DAY 1  – Arrival to Bergen
Individual arrival to a centrally located hotel.
In Bergen you can see the UNESCO Bryggen wharf, the authentic areas with tiny wooden houses and narrow streets, the fish market.
Take the funicular to mount Floyen, offering a marvelous view of the city & surroundings.
Optional: You can start in Oslo; add hotel in Oslo & train or flight to Bergen

Just outside the city of Bergen, you will find Cornelius, one of Norway’s best seafood restaurants. It is situated right by the sea on a small island with spectacular views of the fjord, mountains, skerries, and passing boats and ships. Nothing beats the taste and texture of a seafood that has just been caught from the cold and clear waters.

DAY 2  – Fjords & Flam Railway
Enjoy a full day excursion, starting by express boat from the centre of Bergen, along the Bergen fjord, through narrow straits, passing idyllic islands, then on to the main Sognefjord – the world’s longest fjord
Then in to the amazing Aurlandsfjord and the village of Flam, where you join the famous, spectacular Flam Railway. At Myrdal mountain station you join the main Bergen train line, taking you back to Bergen.

DAY 3 – Cruise departure from Bergen
Spend the day at leisure in Bergen before the cruise departure with the authentic Hurtigruten ship in the evening. Evening meal on board included.

This spectacular tour from Bergen takes you up the 27-kilometer long Osterfjorden in Hordaland province.  Underway, the fjord narrows between the steep mountains as you are brought safely through the strong currents of the shallow and narrow Mostraumen strait.

DAY 4 – Cruise Geirangerfjord or Hjorundfjord*
Morning arrival to the Art Nouveau town of Alesund. Enjoy a full day cruise to the famous Geirangerfjord (June through August), or the spectacular Hjorundfjord in September. *In May 3 hours at leisure in Alesund.

DAY 5 – Cruise & historic Trondheim
Through the wide Trondheim fjord to the picturesque, historic city of Trondheim. Spend 4 hours at leisure in the city, or take an optional sightseeing tour.
Make sure to visit the authentic areas with tiny well preserved wooden houses at Bakklandet, the old bridge “Gamle Bybro” & the Nidaros Cathedral. Continue along the scenic Troendelag coast

DAY 6 – Cruise Bodo & Lofoten Islands
Passing the Arctic circle before the call at the beautifully located Arctic town of Bodo, surrounded by mountain peaks. Time to visit the town before the ship continues across the Vestfjord towards the impressive Lofoten wall & the Lofoten Islands

DAY 7 – Arctic coast & Tromso
Along the spectacular Arctic coast and through a marvelous archipelago before the arrival to Tromso – Europe’s northernmost University town. Time to visit the town before the cruise sets off towards the north, passing along beautiful scenery

DAY 8 – Arctic coast & North Cape excursion
Enjoy this exotic excursion from the main port Honningsvag, across Mageroya island – Norway’s northernmost island,
then on to the North Cape cliff – an impressive, 307-metre (1,007 ft) high cliff with a large plateau on top.
Rejoining the ship, continuing along Finnmark’s barren coast, passing the Svaerholdtklubben Bird Colony and the unbelievable rock formation of Finnkjerkja

DAY 9 – Kirkenes & Oslo
Cruise along the barren Finnmark coast before the ship continues to the south-east into the Bokfjord and on to Kirkenes, close to the Russian border. Disembark after breakfast. Take the scheduled airport bus or a taxi to the airport for a flight to Oslo

DAY 10 – Tour finish in Oslo
The tour finishes after breakfast.
