Optional add-on from Stavanger:
Additional night in Stavanger & Kjerag self-guided hike
Take the Kjerag Express Bus early in the morning to the starting point of the hike up the Kjerag mountain.
The hike up the Kjerag mountain and to the Kjerag Boulder is challenging. The path goes through rocky and polished mountain landscapes. The total elevation gain is 460 metres (1500 ft.) The boulder is majestically suspended nearly 1000 m (3280 ft) above sea level over the beautiful Lysefjord. Amazing views of the boulder itself, surrounding mountains and the Lysefjord below. You have 6 hours to complete the 9.8 km (6 mi) return hike and the path is well-marked.
After the hike, the Kjerag Express Bus will drive you back to Stavanger.
