DAY 1

First night in Oslo

Individual arrival and check in at a centrally located hotel.
Oslo is beautifully located by the Oslofjord, surrounded by forested hills. In Oslo you can visit the Viking Ship Museum (closed for rebuilding to 2025/2026 – artefacts from the Viking Age can be seen at The Historic Museum in the city centre), the Holmenkollen Ski Jump, the Vigeland Sculpture Park.

DAY 2

Bergen Line

Morning departure by the Bergen Line, taking you through the scenic Hallingdal valley and across the spectacular Hardangervidda mountain plateau to the mountain station of Myrdal. It is the highest mainline railway in Northern Europe crossing the Hardangervidda mountain plateau at 1300 m above sea level. The line is some 500 km long, and Finse is the highest station with an altitude of 1222 m above sea level.

Flåm Railway & Fjord cruise

At the tiny Myrdal Station you change to the famous Flåm Railway for an unforgettable descend from mountain to fjord through the Flåm Valley, with mountain peaks, cascading waterfalls, tiny farms and the beautiful river.
In Flåm village you board an express boat for a fjord cruise on the spectacular  Aurlandsfjord & the majestic Sognefjord.
Disembark in the beautifully located Balestrand village. Check in at the historic Kviknes Hotel, room with fjord view and buffet dinner included.

DAY 3

Full day in Balestrand

Balestrand is surrounded by mountain peaks, with beautiful views of the Sognefjord & the Fjærlandsfjord branch.
The village is home to a selection of authentic, wooden Swiss style villas & the wooden, historic Kviknes Hotel & art galleries.
You can follow the interesting, well marked cultural trail or one of the marked mountain hiking trails for an active day.

Fjærlandsfjord cruise and glacier tour
Enjoy a half day excursion from Balestrand. Start with a beautiful fjord trip on the Fjærlandsfjord, passing tiny villages, waterfalls and steep, forested mountainsides. Upon arrival to Fjærland a shuttle bus will take you to the Norwegian Glacier Museum and the Bøyabreen glacier.

DAY 4

Cruise to Bergen

Board the express boat for a 4-hour cruise to Bergen through the outer parts of the Sognefjord and along the coast, with islands, local fjords, tiny settlements & summer houses, passing through narrow straits. The boat takes you to the very heart of Bergen, close to the Fish Market.

3-hour fjord cruise to Mostraumen & additional night in Bergen
This spectacular tour from Bergen takes you up the 27-km long Osterfjord in Vestland province.  Underway, the fjord narrows between the steep mountains as you are brought safely through the strong currents of the shallow and narrow Mostraumen strait.

Hardangerfjord cruise & Vøringfossen waterfall w. night in Hardanger & Bergen (2 nights included)

Hardangerfjord cruise & Cider tasting
Morning departure from Bergen with coach to Norheimsund, where you will board an express boat for a scenic fjord cruise on the beautiful Hardangerfjord. Disembark in the tiny village of Lofthus. Check in at the historic Ullensvang Hotel. Enjoy Cider Tasting at a local cider farm in the afternoon.

Vøringsfossen waterfall & Hardangerfjord cruise
Take the expressboat to Eidfjord. Disembark and join the sightseeing bus to Vøringsfossen waterfall. On the way, the bus makes a stop at Hardanger Nature Centre – an experience centre showcasing the flora and fauna of Hardangervidda National Park. Continue with a drive up the steep Måbødalen valley, before reaching the impressive Vøringsfossen waterfall – among Norway’s most famous natural features, with a free-falling drop of approx. 180 m. Return to Bergen by express boat on the Hardangerfjord and by bus. Check in at your hotel in Bergen.
