This one-way trip takes you through Norway's most stunning vistas, with overnight stays in three distinct locations: the bustling capital city of Oslo, Flåm—a quaint fjord village, and Bergen, often referred to as the gateway to the fjords. The Bergen Line will take you through the vast mountain landscapes between Oslo and Bergen. The famous Flåm Railway, one of the steepest train lines in the world, takes you between the fjord village of Flåm and Myrdal Mountain Station.
The tour includes a fjord cruise on the UNESCO-listed Nærøyfjord and the Aurlandsfjord. The Nærøyfjord is one of the narrowest fjords in Europe, surrounded by towering mountains and farms clinging to the mountainside.

A day on rails - Bergen Line & Flåm Railway
Your second day begins with an early departure from Oslo, embarking on a journey to Flåm aboard the renowned Bergen Line. This train ride, known as one of the world's most scenic, will take you through the Hallingdal valley, across the vast Hardangervidda mountain plateau, and past the Hallingskarvet mountain range. The highest point on this train journey is at Finse Station, situated 1222 meters above sea level, where you'll be treated to views of the Hardangerjøkulen glacier.
Upon arriving at Myrdal Station, you will transition to the Flåm Railway, recognized as one of the steepest railway tracks in Europe. This leg of your journey offers a contrasting experience as you descend from the high mountains to the serene fjord below. Over the course of approximately one hour, the train winds its way down to Flåm, nestled at the edge of the beautiful Aurlandsfjord.
Check in to your selected hotel—either the historic Fretheim Hotel, which includes dinner*, or Flåmsbrygga Hotel, situated next to the local brewery pub Ægir. Once settled, take time to explore the fjord village. The bakery in Flåm has very good pastries 🙂

Journey by fjord cruise and rail to Bergen
The final day of your adventure offers a relaxed start, with plenty of time for a good breakfast or the chance to join one of our optional add-ons. You can choose an exhilarating RIB safari on the Aurlandsfjord and Nærøyfjord or a sightseeing trip to the spectacular Stegastein Viewpoint.
In the afternoon, embark on a fjord cruise from Flåm to Gudvangen.The cruise takes you through the inner branches of the vast Sognefjord, beginning with the scenic Aurlandsfjord. The journey then goes in to the narrow Nærøyfjord. Here, you'll witness tiny farms clinging to the mountainsides. The journey is carried out with a modern electric boat with beautiful sun decks and lounges, and a cafe with food and drink for sale.
After leaving the boat in Gudvangen, a bus will take you through the scenic Nærøy Canyon toward Voss, a town known for its ski resorts and extreme sports. Along the way, you’ll pass tranquil lakes and rivers framed by lush landscapes.
From Voss, the final part of your journey is a local train ride to Bergen, Norway’s second-largest city. Upon arrival and check-in at your hotel in Bergen, take the opportunity to explore this historic city. Bergen is renowned for its charming atmosphere and cultural heritage. A visit to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Bryggen Hanseatic Wharf is a must, where you can wander through the old wooden buildings and narrow alleys, stepping back in time to the days of the Hanseatic League.

Your second day begins with an early departure from Bergen, taking a local train towards the adventure that awaits in the fjords of Norway. First leg of the journey brings you to Voss, a town renowned for skiing and extreme sports.
Upon arrival in Voss, a connecting bus awaits to transport you through the mountain areas toward the Gudvangen valley. The highlight of the day is undoubtedly the fjord cruise from the tiny village of Gudvangen. Here, you'll embark on a two-hour journey on the Nærøyfjord and Aurlandsfjord. Full payment is due 65 days before departure for tours including a cruise with Hurtigruten or Havila Voyages, and 45 days before departure for all other tours. If you book within 65 or 45 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.
