DAY 1 – First night in Oslo

Individual arrival to Oslo. Check in at a centrally located hotel, and spend the evening at leisure. The city centre is easily accessible from the airport by the airport express train.

DAY 2 – Flight to Alesund

Flight to Alesund. The city has around 50 000 inhabitants and is one of the most important fishing harbours in Norway. In the city centre you can visit shops, galleries and restaurants or just stroll around in this beautiful city. After a devastating fire in 1904 which destroyed most of the old wooden buildings, the town was completely rebuilt. As a result, Alesund’s architecture has a unique concentration of Art Nouveau – Jugendstyle.

DAY 3 – Cruise to Geirangerfjord & Geiranger

Travel by boat to Geiranger. This beautiful journey from Alesund to Geiranger is around 120 km long. Take a closer look at the famous waterfalls “The Seven Sisters”, “The Bridal Veil” and “The Suitor”, the majestic fjord cliffs and abandoned mountain farms. Perhaps you will be lucky enough to see porpoises playing in the fjord. Check in at Union Hotel Geiranger, a family-run hotel that is situated on a hill just above Geiranger, with a fantastic view of the fjords and mountains.

DAY 4 – Geiranger

Spend the whole day at leisure in Geiranger. The Geirangerfjord is the jewel in the crown of the Norwegian fjords. It is a fairytale landscape with its majestic, snow-covered mountain tops, wild and beautiful waterfalls, lush green vegetation and the deep, blue fjord.

You can add exciting trips to your stay in Geiranger, like fjord sightseeing by RIB boat or a kayak trip.

DAY 5 – Coach to Loen

Board the public coach for Stryn and Loen. Sweeping past everything from giant mountains and cascading waterfalls to rolling farmland, you’ll arrive into Loen, a charming village at the mouth of the Nordfjord’s Lodalen Valley. Here, you can experience a ride on Loen Skylift (not included). This spectacular cable car climbs 1,000 metres to the summit of Mt. Hoven, offering truly dramatic views over glaciers and forested fjords.

DAY 6 – Coach to Sogndal

Continue by public coach to Sogndal, a village beautifully situated by the Sognefjord, Norway’s longest and deepest fjord. This area is considered to be one of the most beautiful destinations in the world.

DAY 7 – Cruise to Bergen

Today you will enjoy a fjord cruise on the Sognefjord to Bergen. Experience the spectacular inner parts of the fjord as well as the beautiful coastal scenery with islands, narrow straits & tiny settlements. The boat takes you to the very heart of Bergen, close to the Fish Market. Check in at a centrally located hotel.

Extra night in Bergen & Hardangerfjord excursion
On the Hardangerfjord in a nutshell day trip you will experience a beautiful landscape with majestic mountains, roaring waterfalls and idyllic orchards. Travel by train from Bergen to Voss and by bus to Ulvik by the Hardangerfjord. Join the cruise to Eidfjord where you take a sightseeing bus to Voringsfossen waterfall and Mabodalen canyon. The cruise then continues to Norheimsund where you take a bus back to Bergen.
