The church, which is a one-nave stave church of the ”Moretype”, is beautifully located on Averøy and is brimming with stunning ornamental artifacts.
Afterwards, you will go to a cosy tavern, where you are served the speciality of the house ‘Bacalao’. This hearty stew is made from the region´s famous ‘klippfisk’ (dried cod) and other local ingredients, and is served with fresh bread. You finish with a scrumptious caramel pudding and a cup of coffee/tea, before continuing along the spectacular Atlantic Ocean Road.
The trip finishes in Molde with a short sightseeing tour of the city. The famous Norwegian writer Henrik Ibsen called it “the town of flowers”, but is today known locally as “the City of Roses”.
